LAKE CABLE RETIREES

The Lake Cable Retirees held their regular meeting on April18th with another of our met your neighbor programs. Kathy Bovard former Chief of Staff for Senator John Glenn presented a wonderful and informative program about her years of service with the Senator that was enjoyed by all in attendance. Thank you Kathy.

Our next meeting will be held on May 16th with refreshments at 9:30 and meeting at 10:00. The Court Angels of Stark County Probate Court had requested the opportunity to come back and update us on their progress and the services they have been providing, so we invited them to come for this meeting.

Minutes for Sportsman Club 4/9/19

Meeting began with Pledge of Allegiance

Meal was the famous Fish Fry and many thanks to our chefs Steve Floom and Rick Schworm.

Our Guest Speaker was JTP Chief Mark Brink. The chief spoke for 30 minutes filling us in on the happenings within the township and had a question and answer session. The membership really enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the Chief.

Announcement: The passing of Phil Kirkbride. He will be missed.

Ted Petty gave the financial report

Lake report was given by Tom Gibbons. Tom reported the lake is in great shape and the project are right along. The back patio will be stated and hopefully completed by Memorial weekend

New Business

Steak Fry Volunteer sign up sheet please sign up and help the club

Steak Fry tickets are now available and in the office as Joni or Tom

The Volunteer dinner for the workers will be on Thursday June 13th at 5:30

Advanced Kayak raffle tickets are also available and in the main office.

John Streb gave the update for the Float Boat Parade.. This will be EPIC. That’s a quote

Next meeting is May 13 with the menu of hamburgers and cheese burgers.

Next month a person from Stark Parks will be our speaker.

LAKE CABLE WOMAN’S CLUB MEETING

MAY 9, 2019 AT 7:00 P.M.

Gals, our next meeting will be our last meeting until September, as we take a summer hiatus!   We’ll meet on Thursday, May 9.  Our program will be “Spring Gardening”!  Sounds good to me!  Devotions will be given by Becky Martin. The Hospitality Committee will be Sharon Gandee and Sandy Prosise. The Refreshment Committee will be Chairman, Kris Ziegler, and her Committee of Maureen Heller, Barb Kraynik, Laura Laubacher and Diana Pittman.   Thanks for serving, gals!

CHILDREN’S EASTER PARTYWow!  What a wonderful Easter party the kids got to enjoy on Saturday, April 13!  It was fantastic, as always! Thanks to Chairman, Karen Wentzel, who planned a GREAT TIME for the many kids and their parents!  Thanks to the Sportsman’s Club guys who have kitchen duty that day and always cook and serve great food to everybody!  And thanks to the wonderful Woman’s Club gals who helped, too!  Dr. Awesome (a Bubbleologist) was FANTASTIC, putting a huge bubble around each and every child!  The Easter Egg Hunt was so exciting for the kids, looking for eggs in the grass outside!  The eggs were full of candy, which I’m sure they all enjoyed!  PLUS they got to see the Easter Bunny and have a photo taken with him!

YOGA” is on Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. 

JAZZERCISE” is Monday thru Thursday: 4:45 p.m. & 5:45 p.m.; Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30 a.m.; Friday: 8:00 a.m.; Saturday: 7:00 a.m. & 8:00 a.m.; and Sunday: 7:00 a.m.
