CLUBS

FROM THE LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

The purpose of the  Lake Cable Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC) is to provide recommendations to the Lake Cable Board of Trustees for the improvement of facilities and services of the Lake Cable Recreation Association. The construction of a stand alone Maintenance building was a recommendation made to the trustees by the LRPC.  The committee is currently working on a recommendation to the trustees for the building of a patio in the area that Lake Cable maintenance will be vacating.   LRPC was originally formed by members as nominated by the current board of trustees.  The LRPC is now an official “Club” of LCRA.  The reason for the Club status is to allow for the collection of funds through donations and fundraisers to benefit the facilities and services of LCRA.  Any member of LCRA may attend an LRPC meeting for the purpose of asking questions or offering recommendations/comments.  Our meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7 pm at the Lake Cable Clubhouse.  LCRA members may speak at the beginning of each meeting prior to conducting our regular closed session. The next regular scheduled meeting is Monday December 12th.

LAKE CABLE RETIREES

The Lake Cable Retirees held their regular meeting on November 15th with another of our met your neighbor programs.  Dr. Mike Bernard presented a very interesting and informative program on alcoholism and addiction. The program was well received and he answered may questions.

Our next meeting will be December 20th and will be our annual Christmas Breakfast. We have a full breakfast menu planned along with entertainment.  The cost will be $9.00 per person and reservations and payment must be made by December 10th. You may make reservations and arrangements for payment by calling Becky Martin at the number shown below or see Tom in the office. This is always a good time, so do yourself a favor and attend.

AS WE HAVE SAID BEFORE, WE HAVE BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL WITH OUR “MEET YOUR NEIGHBOR” SERIES AND WE ARE SURE THAT THERE ARE MANY MORE OF YOU OUT THERE WITH INTERESTING STORIES TO SHARE.  SO, ONCE AGAIN, WE REQUEST THAT YOU GIVE US A CALL IF YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO SHARE YOUR WORK EXPERIENCES OR HOBBIES, OR IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT JOINING US, PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL THE FOLLOWING:
